back then..

Isn't it funny how a second passes, and already you can talk about that second as a "back then.." ? I love reminiscing. Even if it makes me all nostalgic and sad, it makes me even happier that I remembered all those things.

Back then...

-Christmas was magical coz Santa came and gifts were miraculously under the tree.

-I wanted to be a zookeeper, but I was scared the monkeys would bite me.

-I believed there was no one out there for me except for Aaron Carter.

-I never thought my parents could be wrong.

-I wanted a little sister so badly. I was a lonely child.

-I used to make my mom cry a lot.

-I seriously thought I'd never stop riding.

-I thought that I'd never be old enough for high school.

-I thought gradeschool life was pressuring.

-I answered the phone and wrote down cake orders and got paid.

-My lolo would call my mom and tell us to meet him in the toy department of Rustan's so that I could pick out any toy(or a whole lot of toys) I wanted.

-My dad couldn't get mad at my when my lolo was around.

-My dad was happier.

-My lolo was still alive.

-I was an outstanding student.

-I cried when I got straight VG's in the report card, coz I didn't have an E.

-I thought teenagers who were in love were stupid and that they'd eventually break up.

-I was only allowed to drink softdrinks on Sundays.

-I looked in my Nana's safe from time to time and try on all her jewelry.

-I wanted pink hair like Jem from Jem and the Hollograms.

-I never spent my weekends in Manila.

-My dream was to be on Little Miss Philippines.

-I relied on laser discs, betamax, and VHS for entertainment.

-I Saw The Sign by Ace of Base was still considered cool.

-I wrote a letter to Tony Blair asking him to send the Spice Girls to the Philippines.

-My parents had parties in the house.

-I'd go to family parties almost every weekend and my cousins and I would all wear stockings and pretend to go skating on the wooden floor.

-I loved opening my closet and picking from all my frilly dresses(with matching frilly socks, frilly underwear, frilly clip)

-I'd have song or dance performances for my parents in their room.

-My friends and I swore we'd never make each other beso when we got older, coz it was such a mom thing to do.

-Our only outings would be in Polo. Swimming and bowling.

-I had chin-length hair.

-I'd cry when getting my hair cut and would only let them cut it if I got my nails painted red.
